Strong interest from Greek investment institutions in the CSE and its listed companies

Strong interest was shown by investment institutions and organisations in Greece in the Cyprus stock market and the companies listed on the Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE) at the Road Show organised by the CSE on Wednesday, 3 December, in Athens, with the participation of seven listed companies.
In his address, CSE Chairman Mr. Marinos Christodoulides referred to the major structural and technological changes that have been implemented in recent years, which aimed at creating a modern, flexible and reliable stock exchange. He also pointed out that the privatization process of the CSE creates prospects for further growth, while highlighting the close cooperation between the Cyprus and Athens Stock Exchanges.
The Chairman of the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CYSEC), Mr. George Theocharides, also addressed the audience, emphasising that the Cypriot market operates fully in line with the European regulatory framework.
The event was also attended by the Ambassador of Cyprus to Greece, Mr. Stavros Avgoustidis, who offered a brief greeting, highlighting the continuous strengthening of economic and business ties between the two countries. He also stressed that the Embassy supports all initiatives that promote cooperation between Cyprus and Greece.
The Acting General Manager of the CSE, Mr. Nikos Trypatsas, presented the latest market developments, noting that the CSE’s General Index recorded a 28% increase in 2025. He also presented data showing that the CSE is an attractive market both for companies seeking financing and for investors seeking profitable investments.

During the Road Show, one-to-one business meetings were held between the listed companies and institutional investors, analysts, fund managers and other financial institutions in Greece.
A total of 45 meetings were held, confirming the growing interest of the Greek investment community in the Cypriot market.
Upon conclusion of the Road Show, the Chairman of the CSE, Mr Christodoulides, expressed his full satisfaction with the level of participation and interest, noting that such initiatives strengthen the CSE's extroversion and promote the international image of listed companies. Similar initiatives, he added, will continue both inside and outside Cyprus.
Representatives of the listed companies also expressed their satisfaction, emphasising the value of the contacts they made with Greek investment institutions.
